Role of an ETD Practitioner Based on Existing Skills and Qualifications:

As an ETD Practitioner my role is to Design, Facilitate, Assess and evaluate training and development initiatives that align with organizational and individual performance needs. Drawing on my skills in instructional design, Audit learning principals and facilitation. I am responsible creating, learner-centred training interventions, that are both effective and engaging.

My qualifications and professional experience equip me to:

  • Conduct needs analysis: to identify skills gaps and recommend targeted training, solutions.
  • Design outcomes-based Learning Programs: aligned with SAQA and NQF standards where applicable.
  • Develop and Customise Learning materials:  (Manuals, presentations, assessments, and e-learning content) to suite various learning strategies and contexts.
  • Facilitate Learning Sessions: Using participatory and inclusive methods, ensuring all learners are actively engaged.
  • Assess Learner Performance: against Unit Standards or Learning outcomes, using valid, reliable, and fair assessment tools.
  • Evaluate Learning Effectiveness: through feedback, assessments and importance, application of skills, using the Kirkpatrick model or similar frameworks.
  • Support Workplace Learning: through mentoring, coaching and skills development planning.
